Window Cleaning

As well as ensuring your grounds reflect the image you want for your business, the outside of your property needs to be to the same standard. In particular your windows need to be gleaming. Dirty windows stand out like a sore thumb and also lower the quality of light in your work place affecting the way your staff and customers feel.

But window cleaning is more than just a bucket, a ladder and a cloth. For a start, the Health and Safety Work at Height Directive means that alternatives to using ladders should be used if possible. So today, the most effective way to clean windows up to 65ft or 20m (typically up to 4 storeys high) is to use water fed poles operated from ground level. This is our preferred method.

Water Fed Pole Window Cleaning

Cleaning windows via Water Fed Poles is efficient, cost effective and safe. Pure water is sprayed through a soft bristle brush or squeegee at the top of the pole to remove the dirt. The pure water attracts the dirt and impurities before being rinsed away. There is no need to use costly detergents, the water is simply left to evaporate leaving a spotless finish without detergent smears or streaks, and it’s better for the environment too! Additional benefits of water fed pole window cleaning include:

    • Minimises damage to buildings
    • Reduces disturbance to the occupants of the building
    • Access to difficult to reach areas

Cleaning Building Cladding

Water fed poles and pure water are also well suited to cleaning external building cladding, such as metal, upvc cladding or other suitable materials.

No fuss, no mess

Our mobile, van mounted window cleaning units are completely self-contained, so there’s no need to provide a water supply whilst we are on-site.

Our window cleaners pride themselves on their high levels of skill and training and ensure safety is always paramount. At every site we make sure the correct precautions are taken to minimise any inconvenience and associated risk, giving our customers both peace of mind and a quality service.

Traditional Window Cleaning

There are times when the layout or structure of a building means that water fed poles cannot be used, or as with some retail units, particularly in covered shopping malls, this is the preferred method for heights up to 29ft or 9m.

In these circumstances a hand-held squeegee is a simple and effective tool. As well as purified water, a small amount of detergent is used, not to actually clean the glass but as a lubricant for the rubber squeegee blade as it is swept across the glass by the window cleaner, removing the surface film of dirt and water as it goes. Each section of glass receives individual attention, guaranteeing a thorough and complete clean every time.

If internal window cleaning is required then this traditional method is combined with microfiber cloths to ensure there are no splashes on carpets, furniture and equipment.

Finishing touches

Where possible, height and safety issues allowing, the window frames and sills will also be cleaned with purified water so they match your gleaming windows.

Gutter Cleaning

Blocked gutters can cause water seepage than can damage the fabric of your building as well as causing unsightly stains. This can be a particular problem during the Autumn when leaf drop is at its height. For the same Health and Safety reasons mentioned under window cleaning, we can clean building gutters using ladders to a height of 29ft or 9m. Above this height we use a bespoke gutter vacuum system.
